We are currently seeking a seasoned Oil Processing Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Crude Oil processing, including Gas/Liquid Gravity Separators, Liquid/Liquid Gravity Separators, Electrostatic Coalescers, Crude Stabilizers, Gas Compression Units, and Primary and Secondary Water Treatment. A background in process simulation modeling using Aspen HYSYS is also essential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for Crude Oil processing operating plants, identifying improvement opportunities, potential problems, and remedies to existing problems.
- Lead the evaluation of Crude Oil Processing and Water Treatment technologies to enhance plant performance.
- Develop plans and road maps for reviewing and incorporating new technologies, including preliminary economics.
- Conduct simulations studies using process models for new and existing facilities to assess production capacity and identify bottlenecks.
- Prepare preliminary scope of work, including process schematics and equipment lists, to debottleneck existing facilities or design new ones.
- Coordinate the execution of capacity increase studies with operating facilities and detailed engineering design contractors/vendors.
- Create/Update Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards related to Crude Oil Processing.
- Support process design and engineering activities for new projects in conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Engineering phases.
- Mentor and develop young Saudi Arab Engineers.
- Develop and deliver technical courses for engineers from operating facilities.
- Present technical papers in major international conferences and publish articles in reputable oil and gas journals.
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; a Master's or higher education is desirable but not required.
- Minimum 20 years of direct experience working with Oil processing facilities, with at least 3 years of experience in Crude Processing Facilities.
- Membership in a recognized professional institute is preferred.
- Expertise in process simulation modeling using Aspen HYSYS and experience with Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Analysis are highly valued.
