Procurement Specialist Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, components and finished goods to meet customer order requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Procurement Activities (50%). Oversee order placement, obtain supplier quotes, and review proposals with internal teams. Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Lead Supply Chain Improvements (10%). Identify and actively participate in supply chain and supplier productivity improvements.
- Supplier Selection & Performance (10%). Participate in supplier selection, monitor performance, and drive corrective actions in areas like on-time delivery and commercial compliance.
- Maintain Product Costing (10%). Ensure accurate costing for materials and components. Oversee supplier compliance with commercial, quality, and legal standards.
- Troubleshoot Supply Problems (10%). Analyze supply issues that impact on-time delivery and collaborate on solutions.
- Issue Purchase Orders (10%). Manage purchase orders for MRO/Indirect material as needed.

Supervision:
- Works independently on routine tasks and receives general instructions on new assignments.

Qualifications:
- Education & Experience. Associate degree preferred with 1-3 years of experience in operations planning or purchasing.
- Certifications. APICS or other planning certification preferred. Experience with MRP/ERP systems is beneficial.
- Language Skills. Strong proficiency in English is required.
