Job Summary

This key role involves creating high-quality proposals that align with business objectives and support client-focused growth strategies.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic, competitive, and compliant proposals that meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Strategy Development
    • Collaborate with project leaders and stakeholders to define operational and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment across teams.
    • Review RFPs and related documents to identify project requirements.
    • Research past trial metrics, competitive landscape, and regulatory strategies.
    • Engage with external experts and clients to gather operational requirements.
    • Review proposals for strategic alignment.
    • Attend handover meetings, providing background on strategy and risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with leadership to understand protocol design and study challenges, chairing strategy meetings.
    • Review pre-feasibility results and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Confirm vendor recommendations for trials.
    • Develop strategic messaging and value propositions tailored to clients and organizational differentiators.
    • Identify resourcing needs for projects and bid defenses.
    • Contribute to bid defense content and participate as needed.
  • Process Optimization
    • Maintain familiarity with tools that inform operational strategy.
    • Improve proposal templates, tools, and processes for efficiency and quality.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies.
  • Team Mentorship & Influence
    • Mentor proposal development team members.
    • Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in Business Development, Proposals, Feasibility, or Clinical Project Management; equivalent education and experience considered.
    • Deep understanding of clinical trial delivery and sponsor expectations.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including influence without authority.
    • Professionalism and executive presence.
    • Organizational agility and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM and project tracking tools.
    • Ability to travel (~10%) and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
