Project Freight Coordinator Role

We seek a skilled professional to oversee the smooth execution of large cargo shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate overseas communications and ensure timely responses.
  • Collaborate with warehouses, truckers, and suppliers to facilitate seamless operations and shipment implementation.
  • Aarrange trucking and intermodal movements, executing bookings and managing logistics.
  • Conduct cargo assessments to determine optimal routing methods for efficient cargo movement.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for specific projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, vendors, and third-party handlers through responsive and comprehensive customer service.
  • Prepare accurate and efficient paperwork for delay-free forwarding, including export Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, and certificate of origin.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of seasonal, political, or other factors that may impact logistics operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in freight forwarding, with training in the field and successful track record of executed logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with ocean export consolidations, transporting OOG (out-of-gauge) cargo, and INCOTERMS 2020.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with DG certification for ocean transportation an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills, customer focus, and attention to detail, with ability to work independently and communicate effectively across cultures.
