A Global Field Operations role at our organization seeks a skilled engineer to drive operational excellence in data center operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with business development on site qualification and selection, managing multiple relationships with colocation providers, and overseeing the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in multiple data centers.
They will also identify and drive projects to maintain high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum.
Additionally, the Global Field Engineer will work with the Colocation provider and business Development to ensure the ongoing maintenance and operations of Data Center Operation's Mission Critical Facilities.
Responsibilities include supervising, advising, and collaborating with colocation operators performing servicing or preventive maintenance, assisting in performing root cause analysis for operational issues, and performing periodic on-site reviews and audits of operations, electrical, and mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge and experience of the purpose and infrastructure of a data center, as well as electrical/mechanical licensing or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Electrical/Mechanical Licensing or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
- Strong Working Knowledge and Experience of Data Center Infrastructure
- Strong Writing Skillset
