Senior Technical Animation Designer

Epic Games is seeking a skilled Senior Technical Animation Designer to join our team. As a key member of our animation team, you will design and create innovative gameplay animation systems that bring characters to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create complex movement systems using animation behavior tools and techniques
  • Design and implement animation state machines and runtime solutions
  • Analyze and troubleshoot in-game animation implementation issues and animation-related technical challenges
  • Collaborate with the animation leadership to maintain style and quality standards for animations

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of realistic and stylized character motion and modern animation methods
  • Experience with animation pipelines, including source content creation tools such as Maya, MotionBuilder, and Unreal Engine
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability and strong written communication skills
  • Familiarity with gameplay animation tools and concepts, such as blend trees and state machines
