About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our People Operations Team in São Paulo, Brazil. This role is a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on employee relations, grow as a people specialist, and contribute to the success of our Latin America region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning and advising on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, respectful, and constructive relationships between employees and the company.
  • Partnering with People Advisors globally to navigate cross-geographical ER cases, considering DEI and legal complexities.
  • Collaborating with People Partners to complement their functional business insights with ER data and expertise.
  • Analyzing data-driven trends to inform and advise functions and the Senior Leadership team on business focus areas and ER best practices.
  • Staying up-to-date with local employment laws and working practices, ensuring compliance and sharing knowledge with the Support subteam.
  • Reviewing and improving operational processes to scale the impact of the People team without compromising the employee experience.
  • Contributing to local and global projects, providing advisory input to shape the future of Wise as we continue to grow.
  • Delivering People-related training sessions to upskill Leads and address knowledge gaps highlighted in ER data.
  • Providing additional support to the wider People team and other leaders with ad-hoc tasks, data queries, and project-based work.

About You:

  • Strong HR experience, with previous experience in a HR Advisor/ER Specialist role owning and advising on ER matters end-to-end.
  • Subject matter expert in employment law and ER advice, with strong knowledge of Brazil's employment law landscape.
  • Strong growth mindset, being resilient to and excited about change in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Data-driven, always starting with data, facts, and insights to inform your approach.
  • Heap of empathy and emotional intelligence, communicating effectively and inclusively, and dealing with confidential information professionally.
  • Adaptable, comfortable working with ambiguity and responding to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative, guiding a variety of stakeholders, building and fostering relationships over time.
  • Tech-savvy, familiar with Google Suite, Slack, Workday, and adept at learning new technology.
