Property and Casualty Reinsurance Leadership Opportunity

A challenging position is available for a Property and Casualty Reinsurance leader to spearhead the growth of our facultative business in Brazil. This role offers an exceptional chance to develop and execute strategies that drive success in one of Latin America's most dynamic markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies for the Brazilian and South Cone markets;
  • Drive the origination of profitable business while maintaining underwriting quality and portfolio value;
  • Design solutions tailored to client needs and promote innovation through new business opportunities;
  • Implement initiatives to enhance sales and underwriting capabilities, positioning Swiss Re in the Brazilian & South Cone markets;
  • Oversee and manage the P&C Facultative portfolio in Brazil & South Cone;
  • Lead and empower the local team, promoting professional development;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Requirements:

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in Property and Casualty re/insurance underwriting, including expertise in the Brazilian and South Cone markets, products, and trends.

  • 7-10 years of experience in Property and Casualty re/insurance underwriting;
  • Knowledge of the Brazilian insurance regulatory environment;
  • Successful sales leadership and deal-making experience in originating new business;
  • Management skills in developing people and mentoring;
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, with additional languages a plus;
