Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Sr Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electrical design team, you will play a vital role in analyzing technical documentation, planning and developing project schedules, reviewing applicable technical and normative documentation, and defining project documentation.

As a Sr Electrical Engineer, your expertise will be essential in specifying and sizing drives for motor control and automation hardware, designing and specifying industrial networks, and preparing engineering documentation. Your ability to analyze complex technical data and develop creative solutions will enable us to deliver high-quality projects on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technical documentation to detail the scope of electrical projects.
  • Support planning and develop project schedules.
  • Review applicable technical and normative documentation (NBR, NR, IEC, etc.).
  • Define project documentation, standards, and typical electrical project practices.
  • Specify and size drives for motor control and automation hardware.
  • Design and specify industrial networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profibus DP/PA, Modbus, ASi, Profinet, etc.).
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including automation architecture, I/O lists, load lists, electrical component lists, panel specifications, and delivery terms.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, issue purchase requests, and register materials in ERP systems.
  • Ensure projects comply with current installation standards.
  • Assist electrical design team in material sizing and specification.
  • Review electrical installation projects and support panel commissioning and validation.
  • Support hiring and supervision of third-party electrical assembly and installation teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or Industrial Automation.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in industrial projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of national and international technical standards (NR10, NR12, NBR5410, ISA5.1, IEC61439, etc.).
  • Experience in electrical panel design (Low Voltage).
  • Experience with drives, automation hardware, and industrial networks.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and ERP systems.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, willing to travel.
  • Independent, self-motivated, with an analytical mindset, critical thinking, proactivity, and teamwork skills.
