We are seeking a seasoned Biodiversity Strategy Lead to join our team and help us shape our approach to environmental conservation. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing biodiversity strategies that align with our business objectives.
With over 10 years of experience in biodiversity, conservation, or environmental management, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Your leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving our sustainability agenda forward.
About the Role:- Develop and implement biodiversity strategies that ensure alignment with business imperatives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate biodiversity management across ESG dimensions, including social performance, human rights, water, and decarbonization.
- Design and implement policies and standards related to biodiversity management and ecosystem services, as well as mine rehabilitation.
- Work with the responsible sourcing team to identify and manage biodiversity and ecosystem services risks in our supply chains and logistics networks.
- Establish indicators, targets, and KPIs to track and communicate biodiversity performance internally and externally.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in biodiversity, conservation, or environmental management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic advisory role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing biodiversity strategies at a corporate or organizational level.
- Experience working with rehabilitation, restoration, and biodiversity offsets within an industrial and/or manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and industry groups.
