About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Language Technology team at SAP SE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering and supporting SAP-owned and third-party language technology tools and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and secondary technological support and consulting for language technology tools, systems, and the overall landscape.
  • Ensure continuous connectivity, security, availability, performance, and general support of language-related tools and infrastructure.
  • Participate in incident management processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, minimize impact, and perform troubleshooting.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and monitors to detect potential issues and help improve system reliability.
Requirements
  • University degree in computer science or another related field.
  • Solid experience as a professional or graduate.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer networks, Windows Server administration, IT security, and network security principles.
  • Proven skills in scripting languages (such as PowerShell, Python).
  • Knowledge about cloud computing, operations, and security for AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Terraform experience is beneficial.
  • Effective communication and project management skills and ability to communicate effectively across the organization (translators, developers, users, etc.).
  • Interest in language technology tools and processes.
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent self-organization.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. German and/or other languages are beneficial.
