About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL Database Engineer to join our SAP Commerce Cloud DevOps team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to support, operate, and manage our databases in a multi-tenant application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient database solutions to support our customers.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to customers on database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with other teams to define product enhancements and resolve specific issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on technical solutions and processes.
  • Design and implement automations to reduce manual intervention for database-related tasks.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer.
  • Strong expertise in database management and data maintenance using PostgreSQL databases.
  • Proficient in PostgreSQL administration, including backup and recovery procedures and database security.
  • Strong expertise and proficiency with database performance tuning.
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience working on cloud platforms, particularly MS Azure or AWS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
