Job Overview

The Accounting Associate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting accounting functions to ensure smooth financial operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management review and analysis
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and effectively
  • Reconcile key accounts, including bank statements, and ensure accuracy in financial records by performing thorough reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by ensuring all necessary steps are taken and deadlines are met
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for auditing and compliance purposes
  • Collaborate closely with the team to optimize accounting processes and improve overall efficiency
  • Provide excellent client service by responding promptly to inquiries and requests
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, with a focus on accuracy and precision
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a high level of productivity
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new systems and tools, with a willingness to continuously improve and develop skills
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with clients and stakeholders
Certifications:
  • Preferred certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
  • Alternative certification: Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or certified in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a US-based company
  • Experience preparing bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other similar tasks
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and other accounting software is a plus
