Job Description

This position requires an individual with a strong background in payroll processing and internal controls. The successful candidate will oversee the payroll close process for Argentina and Peru, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll changes, reviewing and sending information to our payroll outsourcing provider, as well as preparing and reviewing journal entries related to vacation, bonus accruals, reconciliations, and other payroll-related areas.

The role also involves coordinating with payroll service providers and regulatory agencies to maintain federal, state, and local taxing authority accounts.

In addition, the Payroll Specialist will lead special projects, including creating or streamlining department processes, implementing new ADP upgrades, and other management-required projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of payroll and internal controls.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience with integrated ERP and financial reporting systems, particularly Oracle R12.
  • Payroll Processing: Proven experience in payroll processing for Argentina, with knowledge of Peru payroll a plus.
  • Multi-State Regulations: Knowledge of multi-state payroll rules and regulations, especially in Argentina and Peru.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
