Quality Control and Improvement Engineer

Position Overview:

This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating the Quality Control process, ensuring effective oversight of quality operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to the Quality and Sampling Plan.
  • Regulate the manufacturing process; authorized to stop production in the event of significant quality issues.
  • Observe and evaluate quality metrics of finished and semi-finished tobacco products.
  • Oversee rework procedures, including blocking materials/products, managing waste/rejects, and suggesting corrective measures.
  • Compile and review quality control reports.
  • Organize and schedule the workflow for the quality control team, providing assistance in exceptional circumstances.
  • Collaborate with QA Specialist and Production to implement product specification modifications.
  • Ensure the ongoing operation and upkeep of measuring instruments and Quality Data systems.
  • Coordinate laboratory activities, perform cross-checks with R&D/QA, and facilitate related training sessions.
  • Supervise essential industrial robustification processes, including change management and quality control disaster recovery.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in technology, engineering, or IT sciences.
  • Proficiency in Serbian and a good command of English.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • Competence in PC applications, particularly MS Office and MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with Power BI tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a similar position is beneficial.
