A dynamic and supportive PE Assistant is required to work collaboratively with the teaching staff to support high-quality teaching and learning. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging and stimulating environment that promotes pupils' academic, social and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, enabling full participation in activities and promoting inclusivity and acceptance of all pupils.
- Communicate effectively with class and specialist teachers/coaches to ensure consistency throughout the school day and promote positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment by supervising pupils, engaging with them positively and mediating conflicts when necessary, ensuring their physical and emotional safety at all times.
- Assist in organising the learning environment and preparing resources, ensuring sports equipment is well maintained and readily available to maximise teaching and learning opportunities.
- Model the school's professional standards, including appropriate uniform, punctuality, attendance and conduct with all members of the school community.
- Support the coach in improving pupils' performance and ensuring their health and safety, including responding to any medical issues that may arise.
