Job Summary
- The Senior Fund Accountant will provide assistance in onboarding new fund administration clients, ensuring a seamless experience and achieving success for both clients and the organization within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise between sales and fund accounting teams to facilitate the onboarding process for new fund clients.
- Interact with fund back offices to collect historical accounting data, offer advisory support, and deliver accurate financial statements to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Book and reconcile accounting books and records from unstructured client data, including capital calls, distributions, expenses, investments, management fees, financial statements, and partners' capital.
- Resolve escalations related to data migration, historical accounting discrepancies, and client onboarding issues.
- Manage customer onboarding for medium to high complexity new clients by setting clear expectations, completing compliance procedures, and going above and beyond to provide an exceptional service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting role with expertise in end-of-quarter and year closes, preferably in venture capital fund administration.
- Strong accounting analysis skills, ability to interpret complex data, and reproduce financial statements accurately.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients while meeting deadlines and providing exceptional service.
What We Offer
A market-competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, exceptional benefits, and commission plans for applicable roles. The minimum cash compensation range is $102,000 - $120,000 in San Francisco, CA; $96,900 - $114,000 in Seattle, WA.
