Accounting Manager AVP: Job Overview

Job Description:

The Accounting Manager AVP oversees the month-end close process, prepares and submits reports to regulatory bodies, and manages entity-wide Balance Sheet Reconciliation Process. Ideal candidates possess a qualified accounting degree, proficiency in IFRS and Bacen GAAP, and excellent communication skills.

  • Perform month end close process
  • Prepare and submit reports to local regulators
  • Manage entity-wide Balance Sheet Reconciliation Process
  • Work on reconciliation and GL review processes/projects
  • Calculate amounts and raise relevant general ledger journals
  • Financial and regulatory reporting to group
  • Automate and streamline month-end processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and procedures
  • Produce primary and supplementary data for group reporting
  • Liaise with business areas and support teams
  • Manage stakeholders and produce ad-hoc analysis for senior management
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates should have a qualified accounting degree, be proficient in IFRS and Bacen GAAP, understand HSBC's activities, products, processes, and systems, and possess strong analytical and database skills, medium to advanced Excel skills, excellent communication skills, good time management and prioritization of work tasks, self-motivation, rapid learning capability, and experience working in an accounting role for a financial institution.
