About the Role

The Site Manager - Workplace Health and Safety plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of Amazon's employees and customers. We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to our commitment to safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overall compliance with local and regional regulations and authorities.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all stakeholders within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to identified and potential risks and prevent injury.
  • Collaborate with the Site Operations team to execute company policies and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes.
  • Provide management information and statistics related to health and safety matters.
  • Support business change through effective change management processes.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal peers and maintain and improve communication.
  • Develop plans for on-site emergencies, peak safety, cold/heat stress, special events, and other unique health and safety situations.
  • Perform health and safety data analysis and establish improvement plans.
  • Ensure health and safety record-keeping and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support business health and safety initiatives.
  • Consult and work with Legal for health and safety regulations interpretations and investigations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Increasing responsibilities in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (pivot tables, charts, and graphics).
  • Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
