Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Risk Management: Manage overall compliance with local regulations and authorities, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
- Health and Safety Advice: Provide expert guidance on Health and Safety matters to all stakeholders within designated areas of responsibility.
- Management Information: Provide management information and statistics related to Health and Safety performance.
- Business Change Management: Support business change through effective change management processes within a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with partners to develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to identified and potential risks and prevent injury.
- Communication and Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with internal peers and maintain and improve communication.
- Emergency Planning: Develop plans for on-site emergencies, peak safety, cold/heat stress, special events, and other unique Health and Safety situations.
- WHS Data Analysis: Perform Health and Safety data analysis and establish improvement plans.
- Record-Keeping and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting and metrics to support business Health and Safety initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Consult and work with Legal for Health and Safety regulations interpretations and investigations.
- Audit and Training: Audit the workplace organization and employee behaviors to ensure that training, auditing, and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
- Site Leadership and Employee Training: Ensure site leadership and employees are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.
- Global Best Practices: Partner with corporate and other regional field Health and Safety personnel to leverage global best practices.
- CIPA Management: Manage Internal Commission of Accident Prevention (CIPA) at the site.
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Experience: Increasing responsibilities in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
- People Management: People management experience.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (pivot tables, charts, and graphics).
- Industry Experience: Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
- Lean Principles: Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
