Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced WHS Site Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a WHS Site Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Management: Manage overall compliance with local requirements and authorities, ensuring that our operations meet all applicable regulations.
  • Health and Safety Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance on Health and Safety matters to all stakeholders within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Management Information: Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility, supporting business decisions and initiatives.
  • Change Management: Support business change through effective change management processes, ensuring a smooth transition in the fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong working relationships with internal peers, maintaining and improving communication to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Emergency Planning: Develop plans for on-site emergencies, peak safety, cold/heat stress, special events, and other unique WHS situations.
  • WHS Data Analysis: Perform WHS data analysis and establish improvement plans to drive business outcomes.
  • Record-Keeping: Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, providing reporting and metrics to support business WHS initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Consult and work with Legal for WHS regulations interpretations and investigations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to identified and potential risks, preventing injury and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Training and Development: Ensure site leadership and employees are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy, promoting a culture of health and safety.
  • Best Practices: Partner with corporate and other regional field WHS personnel to leverage global best practices, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • CIPA Management: Manage Internal Commission of Accident Prevention (CIPA) at the site, ensuring effective incident reporting and investigation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Increasing responsibilities in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience, with a focus on people management and lean principles.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including pivot tables, charts, and graphics.
