Job Overview

A Data Center Decommissioning Specialist is sought to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities. This role involves collaborating with senior technicians and management, decommissioning legacy hardware, and relocating enterprise equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decommission and process legacy hardware from data center facilities
  • Relocate and move large enterprise equipment
  • Install, remove, and destroy hard drives and SSDs
  • Create and attach labels and barcodes
  • Perform basic networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations
  • Update progress through a web ticketing system
  • Document procedures
  • Escalate to senior technicians and management as needed

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.

Applicants should have entry-level experience with Linux, Unix, or similar operating systems and be familiar with data center or mission-critical environments.

They must be enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals passionate about technology, working with basic computer components, and hardware.
