Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced CDD Analyst to join our Compliance team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in CDD/KYC operations within financial institutions, ensuring processes align with both local and international regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new business relationships.
- Performing ongoing monitoring of existing customer relationships following trigger events or through scheduled periodic reviews.
- Assessing sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening hits, escalating findings where necessary.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders such as Business Development and Compliance teams.
- Ensuring CDD reviews meet regulatory standards while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Identifying potential risks and discrepancies, escalating issues for further review.
Additional requirements include:
- Hands-on experience conducting due diligence, including enhanced due diligence and customer risk assessments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with compliance, risk, and front-office teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of work while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (reading, writing, and verbal).
- Experience in merchant acquiring or payment services.
- Proficiency with AML/KYC systems and tools (e.g., Actimize, Orbis).
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA or equivalent financial crime qualifications.
- Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulatory frameworks across LATAM, including local financial authorities and FATF implications for the region.
- Experience with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening.
- A High level of Spanish language proficiency.
