Industrial Process Development Specialist

We seek an experienced Industrial Process Engineer to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in developing advanced analytics solutions. These insights will enable data-driven decision-making capabilities for our enterprise.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate as a technical mentor and facilitator in the development of studies of process and performance for operational efficiency and compliance with international standards for quality and safety.
  • Contribute to creating advanced analytics solutions for condition monitoring and performance optimization of industrial assets.
  • Compile and analyze industrial technical documentation, including operational manuals, datasheets, and P&IDs, to gather information for data-driven models.
  • Develop root cause analysis studies of industry failure events to identify new opportunities for development and improvement of digital solutions.
  • Explore and develop mathematical modeling of industrial thermodynamic processes to support data-driven solution development.
  • Examine historical time-series data of process equipment to validate hypotheses and test modeling techniques.
  • Implement digital products in new clients, as well as supporting the development of new features.
  • Participate in problem framing together with business owners, data scientists, and other engineers for identified opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of process engineering theories and practices.
  • Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with expertise in industrial processes, operations, and predictive monitoring of critical assets.
  • Deep knowledge of industrial systems and equipment, including practical knowledge of sensing technologies, protection systems, performance control, efficiency optimization, technical specifications, and common failure modes.
  • Hands-on experience with PI AF (Asset Framework) for data analysis and the development of predictive models, driving actionable insights and process improvements.
  • Expertise in asset performance and integrity management, with the ability to lead and facilitate structured engineering studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, RCA, FMEA, and RCM.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial process operations and control, enabling the analysis of systems involving multiple interconnected pieces of equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial automation, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), dedicated protection systems, and condition monitoring technologies.
  • Technical familiarity with data collection and storage systems, including vibration data acquisition, PIMS platforms, and OPC servers.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis, machine learning algorithms, and digital software system architectures.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools for continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • CREA certification is mandatory.
