Cargo Supervisor Job Description

As a Cargo Supervisor, you will lead and oversee cargo operations on board vessels. Your leadership skills and technical expertise will enable us to deliver high-quality services while ensuring the safety of our crew and the environment.

Our team is responsible for preparing, starting, monitoring, maintaining, preparing, and shutting down marine and cargo operations. You will manage and supervise effectively, demonstrating leadership in technical and safety issues, liaising with onshore and offshore departments, delegating authority, promoting training and competency assurance, and ensuring timely and effective close-out of survey and audit action items.

You will contribute to emergency response by identifying critical situations, taking positive action to limit escalation, managing emergency response, and demonstrating knowledge and awareness of potential emergency scenarios. Additionally, you will maintain pollution control measures by ensuring controlled process discharges from your area of responsibility to the environment are within prescribed limits, identifying unplanned discharges, reporting according to policy, procedure, and regulation, and dealing with equipment, waste, or other materials for disposal according to the correct procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cargo Operations: Prepare, start, monitor, maintain, prepare, and shutdown marine and cargo operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualifications as per STCW II/2 Chief Officer of ships of 3000gt or more.
  • Three years' experience in Crude Oil tankers as OOW (Officer on Watch) or Chief Officer, preferably on VLCCs.
  • Previous FPSO experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR international standard.
  • Medically fit according to Company Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
