Offshore Marine Operations Leader

The Offshore Marine Operations Leader will act as a key player in the offshore installation management team and be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all marine activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with governing requirements and regulations
  • Develop and implement operation plans to prevent unit or equipment overexertion
  • Conduct thorough planning for daily operations
  • Maintain open communication with relevant parties
  • Ensure valid and up-to-date certification of marine equipment at all times
  • Execute marine operations according to plan and ensure efficiency
  • Enforce training, certification, and competence standards for personnel
  • Train personnel in emergency response procedures and maintain necessary equipment
  • Address non-compliances promptly and report them accordingly
  • Perform required training and competence assessments
  • Maintain high standards of tidiness and cleanness
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Lead the marine department and oversee its operations
  • Exercise budgetary control and monitor department expenses
  • Adhere to relevant governing documents and revise them as necessary
  • Conduct stability and ballast operations as required
  • Provide clear operational guidelines to direct reports
  • Lead by example through field presence and monitoring
  • Report operational progress to the rig manager and offshore installation manager
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and records
  • Participate actively in meetings and discussions
  • Train subordinates to fill higher positions and advance their careers
