Accounting Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead our team of bookkeepers and oversee daily deliverables.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who's an expert in QuickBooks, thrives in a remote environment, and enjoys leading others to operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience, strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and experience using Asana, Slack, Zoom, and G Suite tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coach, and mentor 2–3 bookkeepers while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Perform regular quality reviews and coach staff on bookkeeping best practices, including client-specific standards.
  • Conduct 1:1s, performance check-ins, and ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex client queries.
  • Support clients directly during transitions (e.g., from a retiring bookkeeper) and lead onboarding if necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and responsive communication, including written correspondence and live client calls.
Accounting Oversight:
  • Perform or supervise reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and vendor accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting: monthly closes, balance sheet reviews, and journal entries.
  • Manage vendor payments and reconcile AP/AR activity as needed.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will participate in strategic planning, provide input on growth strategy, and contribute to internal process improvement projects.
