What You Will Do

As a Backend Security Engineer, you will directly contribute code and be a code owner for multiple services and code bases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the security implications of existing and upcoming features, proposing changes if appropriate. Your work will involve investigating technical root causes of unintended information disclosure incidents and proactively seeking out components in backend services that create asset integrity risks. You will also build and improve internal tooling at scale to protect our ecosystem.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, with expertise in backend development for games
  • Expert knowledge in one or more programming languages: C++, Java, Go, or TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and design patterns
  • Strong knowledge of AWS/Cloud infrastructure including code-as-infrastructure (e.g. Terraform)
  • Experience building & managing distributed systems, designing APIs, and deploying services (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • Experience working with data analytics to solve, prevent, or monitor for problems
  • Knowledge and/or experience mitigating security vulnerabilities in sandboxes / virtual machines and potential mitigation strategies
  • Experience building or working with CI/CD environments
  • Experience working with building and deploying container images
