This is a challenging role for an underwriter with expertise in General Liability business. The successful candidate will create and execute strategies to deliver profitable growth in line with local market targets.
Main Responsibilities:- To design and implement effective underwriting plans that achieve top-line and bottom-line results.
- To proactively manage renewal portfolios and identify new business opportunities through close collaboration with sales teams and distribution channels.
- To meet and exceed financial targets by developing and executing clear action plans.
- To work closely with cross-functional teams to promote casualty business and expand client relationships.
- To underwrite and execute profitable casualty business.
- To maintain high technical expertise and leverage it to grow portfolios.
- To deliver high-quality work with enthusiasm, ownership, and urgency.
- To ensure all underwriting aligns with underwriting authorities and corporate governance rules.
We are seeking a highly skilled underwriter with a strong track record of developing profitable portfolios. Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in underwriting primary (or single risks) General Liability business and good understanding of local marketplace.
- Strong underwriting capabilities in General Liability, Product Liability, and International Business Program.
- Deep industry understanding and insights into markets trends, legal, and competitive landscape.
- Client focus with strong solution-oriented mindset and ability to understand client business and needs.
You should have a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in underwriting General Liability business. Additionally, you should have strong underwriting skills, deep industry knowledge, and excellent client relationships skills.
