As a Strategic Underwriting Partner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality underwriting services to clients. You will serve as the primary point of contact and decision-maker, ensuring that client needs are met while maintaining a profitable portfolio.
About the RoleThe successful Underwriting Professional will combine superior origination, client management, and underwriting expertise to develop and maintain strong external relationships. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and nurturing client connections across various organizational levels, including senior executives.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust external network by identifying opportunities to grow core business and developing transactions and solutions in collaboration with relevant specialists.
- Understanding competitor products, anticipating, and analyzing future industry, economic, legal, and market trends.
- Underwriting: Conduct comprehensive end-to-end underwriting analyses for core business, encompassing risk selection, cost analysis, contract review, and structuring. Develop a financially performing portfolio by providing input on portfolio strategy.
- Client Management: Evaluate and assess treaties in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Support knowledge exchange across regions, provide coaching and training to less experienced colleagues, and contribute to technology enhancements.
