Job Title: IT Software License Specialist

The IT software license specialist plays a pivotal role in the Software Asset Management team. This position is responsible for managing and optimizing software licensing across the organization.

  • Key responsibilities include generating and analyzing usage data to identify underused or redundant licenses, recommending cost-saving opportunities, and creating reclamation tickets as needed.
  • Supporting software licenses tracking across departments and systems, maintaining accurate records of license entitlements and usage, preparing for internal and external audits, and generating reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Additionally, this role involves using Software Asset Management (SAM) tools, integrating license data with IT asset management systems, and supporting administration of vendor software portals.
  • Experience with ServiceNow SAM is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 14 years of experience in software licensing and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
