Job Title: Senior Compliance Manager

At Samsung Electronics, we are seeking a seasoned compliance professional to serve as the primary officer for our Latin America business.

  • Location: São Paulo - SP

Job Description:

The role requires implementing and overseeing compliance programs at regional and subsidiary levels, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations in Latin America. This includes Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Panama, and Peru. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with the broader legal and compliance team to uphold global standards and advise stakeholders on compliance implications of business decisions.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as designated Compliance professional in accordance with local regulations.
  2. Oversee and administer compliance program for Samsung Latin America.
  3. Develop, maintain, and enforce compliance policies and procedures.
  4. Conduct due diligence and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Ensure day-to-day compliance through periodic activities, such as internal audits, communication campaigns, and trainings.
  6. Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks specific to the Latin America business.
  7. Lead ethics investigations into incidents, utilizing investigative techniques and data analysis.
  8. Stay informed on regulatory developments in the region and produce timely reports to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law required.
  • Prior experience at a multinational company or law firm.
  • Specialization or Master's Degree in Compliance desirable.
  • Compliance certification (CCEP, CPC-A) a plus.
  • Advanced English skills.
  • Advanced Spanish skills.
  • Experience handling compliance programs in a corporate environment.
  • Strong team orientation and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to engage with all levels of management.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
