Boston Consulting Group is a global management consulting firm that partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. As a Technology Strategist, you will play a key role in helping our clients achieve digital excellence and drive business value through innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and coach our clients' technology teams to define technology strategies and architecture solutions that drive business growth.
- Develop and grow by being exposed to new and complex challenges daily, working alongside a bold, energetic, and collaborative team.
- Support technical implementations and apply your technical know-how, understanding of business contexts, analytical and conceptual skills to help our clients with the most complex business problems.
- Collaborate with our clients to develop superior digital and technology concepts and architecture solutions that drive business outcomes.
Requirements
- University degree with above average academic performance in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, or Information Technology.
- 03-06 years' experience in software development, technical project management, digital delivery or technology consulting.
- Experience from consulting firm (focused on technology, digital initiatives) in IT organization and process development.
- Overview of common development methods and tools DevOps practices and Continuous Improvement.
- Ability to articulate trade-offs and drive high-impact technology decisions on topics including (but not limited to) IaaS/PaaS providers, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and commercial vs. open source software.
- Approaches to managing Architectural debt, Architecture governance and evolution in practice.
- Micro services topologies, including operational concerns such as resiliency, observability, discovery and routing, security etc.
- Have experience with, and understand how to lead, legacy integration and remediation (facades, strangler approaches, et. al.)
- Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices such as events, synchronous vs. asynchronous.
- Fluent English, Spanish is a plus.
