IT Project Coordinator

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing various IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams to deliver changes, assessing requests for change, validating and classifying change requests, registering changes as needed, determining risk and impact, preparing implementation plans, coordinating simple and standard changes, liaising with providers to implement complex changes, monitoring progress, and reporting on quality of first-time right and on-time change implementation.

Additionally, you will perform pre-checks before the change window time, guide field engineers for all scheduled change activities, perform post-implementation reviews, send success reports to involved entities, and document the entire process in a database (CMDB) accessible to all stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bilingual - English & French written and spoken
  • IT Proficient:
    • Good knowledge of TCP/OSI model and protocols
    • Familiarity with network components (routers, switches, access points, firewalls, endpoints, servers, etc.)
    • Understanding of IPv4 addressing and subnetting
    • Knowledge of IPv6 address types
    • Ability to interpret components of a routing table
    • Familiarity with switching techniques and L2 protocols
    • Understanding of NAT, NTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP concepts
    • CCNA desirable
    • ITIL certification preferred
    • Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux)
    • Familiarity with security and network technologies (Checkpoint, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco, VeloCloud, AWS), proxy, reverse proxy, antivirus, load balancers, VPN, etc.
    • Conversant with MS Office Software Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Minimum degree in IT or Telecommunications
  • ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation optional
  • CCNA desirable, CCNP optional
  • Security Certification optional but desirable
Experience

A minimum of 2 years' experience as an IT Customer Support Engineer, IT Administrator, Security/Network Engineer, or similar role is required.
