Job Description:

This role plays a pivotal part in expanding treatment access for patients within strategic accounts from the private sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong comprehension of oncology value propositions, including diseases, products indications, and competitive scenarios. They will work closely with the in-field team to generate solutions that improve patient access.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • The primary responsibility is to achieve access for oncology products in strategic accounts, identifying opportunities in the patient journey and working to minimize access barriers.
  • The candidate must recognize, develop, and implement innovative solutions and projects that align with oncology access strategies to expand access of Gilead's portfolio.
  • Deep understanding of strategic accounts and their access/reimbursement environment through diagnosis, mapping interests, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in collaboration with other functions in the in-field team.
  • Identifying, mapping, engaging, and managing key stakeholders from assigned strategic private accounts, incorporating and establishing protocol for Gilead's products.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with external customers through value solutions providing benefits and improving access to patients in a framework of sustainability and efficiency.
  • Disseminating trustworthy and balanced scientific and pharmacoeconomical technical information to payers, providers, and relevant private institutions, contributing to comprehension and customer education.
  • Developing and implementing account strategy and action plans according to business goals, access priorities, and account segmentation, ensuring cross-function alignment throughout planning and execution processes by coordinating with other functions.
  • Implementing a powerful, effective, and concise value proposition, strengthening institutional positioning in Oncology in private markets.
Competencies / Skills / Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of the Brazilian Private Health System.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to formulate and develop access strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to lead, interact, resolve conflict, and drive consensus among individuals from various disciplines.
  • Excellent knowledge of value and market access tools, including pharmacoeconomic and evidence-based medicine.
  • Excellent communication of technical and scientific information.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent teamwork player and cross-functional management.
  • Data management skills and ability to analyze information to provide relevant and reliable data are required.
  • General use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of access experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry.
  • Experience in payer environment is a differential.
Education:
  • BS or BA degree completed.
  • Postgraduation and MBAs are a differential.
  • Advanced English desired, especially for internal meetings and self-study.
