Senior Data Center Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Center Project Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the construction of new data center projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Project management and oversight of construction related activities for new region builds throughout our global portfolio.
  • Provide Construction Management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centers.
  • Review of constructability of electrical and mechanical system designs associated with the construction of new data centers or the optimization of existing data centers.
  • Creation of project scope and equipment requirements, assist with request for proposals, and capital requests.
  • Total project quality including the assisting with commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight of the execution of the project.
  • Issue/Manage the Request for Information process during construction and coordinate construction administration with engineers.
  • Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
  • Concurrently managing multiple projects including new data center building and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with experience in construction/program management for mission critical facilities or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction management or construction project management.
  • 7+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering best practices including breaker coordination studies, switchgear sequence of operation.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA and Brazilian equivalents.
  • Experience developing & managing projects in multiple countries.
  • Experience leading conflict resolution with co-located and geographically dispersed multi-cultural teams.
  • Experience leading large contractor support teams; team consisting of contractors, not direct employees.
  • Experience developing, monitoring and maintaining mission critical project schedules; master schedules and micro schedules.
  • Possess relevant passport and ability to obtain visas for travel to international project locations.
  • Ability to meet entry requirements for regions and countries outside of assigned office location.
  • Fully bilingual (proficient in Portuguese and English communication, both spoken and written).
