Job Title: Data Center Construction Manager
">This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned construction professional to lead the development of data centers in Latin America. As a Data Center Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
">The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, particularly in the area of mission-critical facilities. A strong background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field is also required. Additionally, excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, are essential for this role.
">Your responsibilities will include managing project scope, timeline, and budget, as well as providing construction management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centers. You will also review constructability of electrical and mechanical system designs associated with the construction of new data centers or the optimization of existing ones.
">Other key responsibilities include creating project scope and equipment requirements, assisting with request for proposals, and capital requests. Total project quality will be your top priority, including assisting with commissioning and integrated system testing, and oversight of the execution of the project. You will also be responsible for issue/management of the Request for Information process during construction, coordinating construction administration with engineers, recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
">A successful Data Center Construction Manager will be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and making informed decisions that align with company goals.
">You will travel to data center sites to manage construction efforts and/or for electrical systems audits, mechanical system reviews, constructability reviews, startup testing, and full commissioning, as required. Position is based in Brazil with frequent domestic & international travel up to 50-75% to support projects as necessary.
">Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with experience in construction/program management for mission critical facilities or equivalent experience">
- 10+ years of experience in construction management or construction project management">
- 7+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution">
- Familiarity with electrical engineering best practices including breaker coordination studies, switchgear sequence of operation">
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA and Brazilian equivalents">
- Experience developing & managing projects in multiple countries">
- Experience leading conflict resolution with co-located and geographically dispersed multi-cultural teams">
- Experience leading large contractor support teams; team consisting of contractors, not direct employees">
- Experience developing, monitoring and maintaining records">
