Production Operator Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Operator to join our team at the Alumina Reduction Unit in São Luís do Maranhão. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient work environment while maintaining process quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and clean the area to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Open and close pots according to operational procedures;
  • Track exchanged anodes and repair clamps, adjusting and checking anode contact;
  • Remove burnoff and perform extra exchanges when necessary;
  • Add sack and foam coal dust to maintain process quality;
  • Operate equipment such as utility cranes, siphon cleaning machines, WL, and crucible machines safely and accurately.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma completed;
  • Desirable: Participation in Alumar's Operator Training Program;
  • Desirable: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Requirement: Availability to work in shifts.
