Data Engineering Lead


Experian is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust data software applications, scalable data platforms, and innovative data products.



Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of data solutions and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet business requirements and optimize resource costs.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, data modeling, and operational readiness.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to peers and junior engineers.
  • Communicate project status and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences based in the U.S. and locally.
  • Ensure effective change management and solution adoption through documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and methodologies based on industry best practices.


About the Role

This position requires strong expertise in cloud development, particularly with AWS services such as Aurora PostgreSQL RDS, Redshift, S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, and SNS.


A deep understanding of data platform paradigms and software/data architecture is also essential.



Requirements
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Amazon Data Firehose, EMR, and Athena in high-volume environments.
  • Expert in SQL and proficient in PySpark and Python.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
  • Experience working in agile, multi-project environments.
