Nursing Practice and Education Director

This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned nursing professional to lead the development and implementation of a centralized system for nursing development and professional practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with experience in education and leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to advance nursing practice and education, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with nurse practice educators and other stakeholders to design and deliver educational programs that support specialty practice, chronic illness management, and overall clinical excellence.
  • Lead the development and evaluation of competency assessment processes for clinical staff, ensuring seamless transitions to practice.
  • Facilitate regular communication meetings with nurse practice educators, fostering a community of practice network to disseminate information and engage stakeholders in co-design of products and services.
  • Support the growth and development of nursing professionals through continuous learning opportunities and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification in a specialty area is strongly preferred, with a willingness to obtain certification within two years of employment.
  • Three years of full-time equivalent nursing experience, with at least two years in long-term/skilled post-acute care and one year in an educational capacity providing instruction and training with adult learners.
  • Strong computer skills, including EHR, LMS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
