Job Description:
We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bot detection, web traffic analysis, and deep behavioral analytics. They will identify and investigate anomalous activities within our SaaS security platform, conducting advanced investigations of potential automated and human threats, analyzing complex patterns and behaviors, and developing actionable insights to enhance our security posture.

The successful candidate will work closely with other teams to contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI/ML detection and response capabilities. This includes monitoring, identifying and analyzing events from a range of sources to spot threats and respond to such incidents with a sense of urgency, collaborating with globally distributed teams, and assisting in the collection of metrics to measure the efficiency of Security Operations functions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct advanced investigations of potential automated and human threats.
2. Analyze complex patterns and behaviors to develop actionable insights.
3. Monitor, identify and analyze events from a range of sources to spot threats and respond to such incidents with a sense of urgency.
4. Collaborate with globally distributed teams to accomplish tasks.
5. Assist in the collection of metrics to measure the efficiency of Security Operations functions.
6. Audit the effectiveness of security measures to check if the systems meet the Security compliance norms.
7. Assist in implementation of security policies and procedures.
8. Fine-tune the process and eventually update standard operating procedures for the team.
9. Participate in various stages of incident investigations and threat hunting engagements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exposure to web and API security
  • Coding standards
  • WAFs (Web Application Firewalls)
  • Advanced persistent threat actors
  • Botnets (off the shelf and custom)
  • Attack mitigation
  • Hands-on SQL proficiency
  • Kubernetes experience
  • Threat Hunting - Web/API skills
  • Web hacking
  • Web data analysis or WAF hands-on experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the web technology and web application security field
  • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape
