Job Title: Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee our outbound operations in a fast-paced distribution center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of associates and driving operational excellence through strategic thinking and people leadership.

This role requires a balance between leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in employee management, process improvement, and data analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of associates.
  • Drive operational efficiency through KPI management and process standardization.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate business updates to the team.
  • Manage workforce planning and staffing to meet business demands.
  • Implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and reduce waste.

A Day in the Life:

  • Labor monitoring and management.
  • Monitor productivity rates and Idle Time (TOT).
  • Track break times and attendance issues.
  • Address equipment issues and resolve process bottlenecks.
  • Quality audits and 5S compliance checks.
  • Performance management and real-time coaching.
  • On-site training and documentation of performance issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Experience in employee and performance management.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean methodology techniques.
