Operations Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead Outbound operations in our distribution center. This role directly manages associates and requires strategic thinking, operational execution, and people leadership.

This position will operate in a fast-paced environment with exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season and location. Must be available to accommodate flexible layover needs, including night shifts and weekend rotations.


Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of associates across multiple shifts, promoting collaboration and accountability
  • Drive operational excellence through KPI management, including productivity, quality, and safety metrics
  • Implement standardized work processes for consistent performance
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate business updates to the team
  • Manage workforce planning and staffing to meet business demands
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and workplace standards
  • Train and develop first-level associates and supervisors
  • Collaborate with support teams (HR, Safety, Training) to drive continuous improvement
  • Manage performance through data analysis and actionable insights
  • Labor monitoring and management
  • Monitor Idle Time (TOT)
  • Track productivity rates
  • Manage break times
  • Address frequency/attendance issues
  • Monitoring of adherence to processes
  • Quality audits
  • Safety hikes
  • 5S compliance checks
  • Performance management

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Flexible schedule/shift/work area requirements
  • Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Employee and performance management experience
  • Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean methodology techniques
