We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to lead our Outbound operations in a distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and possess excellent people leadership skills.

This role involves managing a team of associates across multiple shifts, driving operational excellence through the management of key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing standardized work processes to ensure consistent performance.

","

The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting daily shift meetings, communicating business updates to the team, and managing workforce planning and staffing to meet business demands.

","

In addition, they will need to lead problem-solving initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, ensure compliance with safety protocols and workplace standards, and train and develop first-level associates and supervisors.

","

Key responsibilities include labor monitoring and management, tracking productivity rates, and managing break times. The successful candidate will also be responsible for addressing frequency/attendance issues, quality audits, safety hikes, 5S compliance checks, performance management, real-time coaching, and documentation of performance issues.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and experience in employee and performance management. Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean methodology techniques is also desirable.

The role offers a competitive package including a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. The successful candidate must be able to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.
