As a Financial Expert, you will be responsible for providing analytical support and advisory services in the context of fast-moving litigations/dispute resolution matters across a wide range of industries.

Your primary objective will be to assist team leaders in delivering high-quality financial analysis and advice that meets the needs of our clients. You will work closely with senior members of the team and receive internal training, on-the-job coaching, and mentoring to ensure your success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytic and quantitative skills, paired with a strong finance and accounting background, including economic modeling. Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, are also essential, as you will need to concisely explain complicated concepts to clients and staff within and outside of the firm.

Required Skills & Qualifications:">
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • 2+ years of relevant full-time work experience with quantitative analysis (e.g., econometric and statistical modeling, forecasting models, micro-simulation models, valuation analysis, damages modeling)
  • Experience in valuation, corporate finance, or accounting with integration of valuation, finance, and accounting
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English
  • Full proficiency in English
  • Project management experience that includes interacting with and presenting to senior-level team members and clients

Key Role Responsibilities:">
  1. Produce discrete pieces of economic analysis that contribute to calculating lost profits and damages caused by conduct at issue, using company financial records, business plans, and publicly available quantitative research.
  2. Understand, synthesize, and analyze large volumes of data associated with complex litigation cases.
  3. Conduct research using various resources, including specialist applications such as Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ.
  4. Write research memos for discussion with clients and senior team leaders.
  5. Manage a distinct part of a project, including regularly updating analysis, tracking documents, and communicating this to the rest of your project team.
  6. Process and clean large data sets produced by parties in a litigation using statistical and analytical skills.
