Lead Data Engineer

This role involves delivering high-impact data initiatives by leveraging Oracle expertise and modern AWS cloud capabilities.

  • Maintain a robust infrastructure that combines design, development, and integration of data pipelines, models, and solutions.
  • Optimize database environments for optimal performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Develop data solutions using AWS services like S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Lambda to drive business value.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and scientists to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
  • Establish data engineering best practices through governance, security, and quality standards.
  • Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, reviewing code and providing technical guidance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in data engineering, with expertise in Oracle databases (design, development, performance tuning).
  • Proven track record of utilizing AWS data services and cloud-based architectures.
  • Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and SQL optimization is essential.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, governance, and security principles is required.
  • Leadership experience in managing or mentoring technical teams is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Fluent English language proficiency is required.

  • Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) can be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices can enhance your application.
  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages used in data engineering can be advantageous.
