Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Safety and Compliance Specialist to oversee the implementation and enforcement of our safety policies across multiple delivery stations. This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and confidence with operational teams. They will provide guidance on risk assessments and safety data analysis, and be responsible for training and mentoring WHS officers and associates.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. The individual must be able to analyze metrics and identify areas for improvement, as well as audit recordkeeping practices and workplace organization to ensure compliance with global standards and local regulations.

  • Manage overall compliance with local requirements and authorities.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with our safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies, identifying plans for deficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives.
  • Analyze safety metrics and review incident trends to allocate resources accordingly.
  • Audit recordkeeping practices and Global Safety Database entries to ensure compliance with global standards.
  • Manage and mentor WHS officers and associates, spending time at sortation centers and delivery stations to gather feedback and improve programs.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in safety programs, preferably in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
  • Knowledge of Brazilian Regulations and Technical Standards.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing circumstances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration with site leaders.
