Job Description

This role is responsible for performing revenue recognition and financial analysis from contract inception through the general ledger reconciliation for assigned client portfolios. The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities including revenue accounting, financial analysis, and compliance to GAAP ASC 606 and IFRS 15.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform activities to meet business and financial close requirements.
  • Understand, improve, and manage the contract approval process from proposal through signature.
  • Perform month-end closing tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations for the assigned clients.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, including variance analysis.
  • Support the external and internal audit process.
  • Prepare and maintain deferred cost analysis.
  • Client margin analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have relevant experience with public accounting combined with industry experience, preferably working together with sales, finance, and operational teams to forecast financial results and revenue recognition treatment. You should also have experience with US GAAP (ASC 606) and IFRS (IFRS 15) revenue recognition rules, ideally in a software company or IT service company environment.
