Job Overview

The primary focus of the District Sales Executive (DSE) is to achieve outcomes that align with the overarching objectives and strategic goals of the organization. A proactive approach, combined with a competitive spirit and the ability to maintain focus on results amidst fluctuating circumstances, are essential for fulfilling the performance expectations of the District Sales Executive role at Expeditors.

The DSE coordinates the involvement of various stakeholders in our sales process, ensuring that new customer revenue is consistently generated for our district office and the Expeditors network. The work environment is dynamic, ever-evolving, and offers opportunities for growth, recognition, and rewards for achieving business results. This position reports directly to the District Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The following are the minimum outcomes anticipated from a successful District Sales Executive:

  • Manage a designated territory while demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of potential clients and competitors in the region.
  • Ensure timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Facilitate customer and branch relationships, collaborating with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management teams.
  • Engage in the development of value-added solutions for clients' logistics requirements, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary documentation.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance selling skills and update knowledge of Expeditors' products and services.
  • Engage with local trade associations as directed by the District Sales Manager.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support company objectives.
