Logistics Operations Manager

This role involves overseeing the operational activities of a logistics team, ensuring that all procedures are followed and resources are allocated effectively.

  • Responsible for managing the separation and preparation of products for loading, as well as monitoring the transportation of products from production to storage.
  • Ensure that cargo loaded into vehicles complies with packing lists to facilitate timely departure.
  • Work closely with the service provider to analyze activities, evaluate services, and request improvements when necessary.
  • Coordinate with internal customers to ensure smooth raw material supply processes and avoid product backlogs in logistics.
  • Collaborate with external customers to ensure that the entire fractionation and separation process meets quality, technical specifications, and delivery time requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily checks on transfers and non-conformities, analyzing any issues found and working to eliminate their root causes.
  • Measure operator performance and logistics machine productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide necessary resources (equipment, supplies, etc.) to the fractionation, separation, and shipping teams to meet safety, productivity, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in logistics and transportation distribution preferred.
  • People management experience.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP system knowledge preferred.
  • Basic English and Spanish preferred.
  • BI system knowledge preferred.
  • S&OP knowledge.
  • Knowledge of raw material distribution and supply and process control.
  • Knowledge of products and packaging, inventory sizing, and forklift/pallet truck operation.
